Job Specifications

Our utility client in Philadelphia is seeking a Junior Business Analyst to support business and systems initiatives through data analysis, reporting, and process improvement. This role is ideal for an early-career analyst with strong Excel skills, solid analytical thinking, and a problem-solving mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with gathering, documenting, and validating business and system requirements
Analyze data and existing business processes to identify trends, gaps, and improvement opportunities
Develop reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI to support business decision-making
Support stakeholders by translating business needs into clear, actionable insights
Assist with testing, validation, and troubleshooting of system enhancements
Participate in stakeholder meetings and provide status updates as needed
Help prepare documentation, user guides, and basic training materials

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced Excel proficiency (required)
Experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools
Ability to work with data sets to identify insights and support recommendations
Strong attention to detail and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
