The Role
We are seeking a Capital Markets Junior Analyst to support the operational management of our Capital Mandates across the UK, EU, and US, working closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Data, Production Line and Capital. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our capital mandates, supporting audits, reporting, cash movements, and debt purchase monitoring.
The Capital Market team is responsible for managing relationships with institutional investors that deploy capital via the YouLend platform; track performances of the investment mandates; identify early trends in the market to take relevant actions; deploy and report on the individual portfolios.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Assist with cash management across multiple capital mandates, ensuring accurate tracking of inflows, outflows, and balances
Support Capital Mandate audits, including data preparation and auditor queries
Prepare and support external reporting for capital mandates on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Maintain operational controls and documentation related to capital mandate processes
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Finance, Data, and Production, gaining exposure to different parts of the business.
Support ad-hoc analysis and operational projects, including the automation and continuous improvement of Capital Markets operational processes, as the function scales.
Monitor the debt purchase mandates
The Ideal Candidate Will Have The Following Skillset
High attention to detail and a structured, process-driven mindset
A relevant degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is advantageous.
Prior experience in finance, fintech, or financial operations (internship or graduate experience acceptable)
Working knowledge of SQL (ability to query and validate data)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to analyse and manipulate financial data effectively
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
