Collateral Operations Analyst | 5 days onsite: Chester | £200 per day PAYE | 6 month contract.

About the Role:

As a key member of the Collateral Operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that trading activities across Futures and Options are adequately collateralized. Your expertise will help mitigate credit exposure and uphold the bank's reputation for operational excellence.

What You'll Do:

Account Profiling: Get familiar with clients and their collateral needs.
Client Interaction: Inform and agree with clients on cash and collateral movements daily.
Margin Management: Investigate and recalculate margin calls, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Internal Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to set up client instructions and resolve investigations.
Risk Monitoring: Understand and monitor risks across the client portfolio, ensuring all processes minimize risk.
Client Relations: Build strong relationships with both external and internal clients, enhancing the overall client experience.
Performance Tracking: Own Key Performance Indicators, including bank account reconciliations and collateral fails.
Project Involvement: Participate in ad hoc projects for new processes or industry initiatives.

What We're Looking For:

Previous experience within a collateral management team.
Excellent communication skills – you're a pro at liaising with clients and stakeholders!
Ability to thrive under pressure in a team environment.
Critical thinking skills to identify process gaps and improve efficiency.
An understanding of operational risk and internal audit processes.
Degree educated or equivalent.
