Linux/Unix Storage Engineer Sr.

Job Description:

A Linux/Unix Storage Engineer Sr. is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of storage solutions in a Linux/Unix environment. They lead projects, provide technical expertise, and ensure that storage systems meet the organization's performance, availability, and security requirements.

Responsibilities may include:

Leading the design and implementation of storage solutions, including SAN and NAS systems, in a Linux/Unix environment.
Providing technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers.
Configuring and optimizing storage systems for performance and reliability.
Monitoring storage systems and identifying and resolving complex issues.
Performing advanced storage capacity planning and management.
Implementing advanced storage security measures to protect data.
Collaborating with other IT teams to integrate storage systems with other infrastructure components.
Documenting storage configurations, procedures, and best practices.
Participating in projects to upgrade or expand storage infrastructure.
Keeping abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in storage management.
