THE POSITION

The Enterprise Technology Services Office (ETSO) - Compute Hosting Operations is eager to welcome an ambitious Enterprise SAN Team Member. This is an advanced, highly technical leadership position within the Enterprise Hosting Services team in the Office of Administration that provides strategic oversight, and management for Enterprise Data Storage services. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As part of the Storage team, this position is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and lifecycle management of enterprise-class storage infrastructure, including SAN switching and storage capacity to support critical enterprise systems. Your advanced IT knowledge will be essential for the daily operations of the Enterprise SAN infrastructure environment. Other duties involve working closely with the server, networking, database, and storage team leads to ensure compatibility between all components in the environment. Key to the position is maintaining a strong working knowledge of server, networking, database, storage, and virtualization technologies to support system operations and projects. This position serves as a backup to the SAN Team Lead in ensuring adherence to enterprise standards for change management, incident management, and inventory management. You will have the opportunity to work with the SAN Team Lead to continuously monitor the SAN environment and develop management dashboards to provide clear visibility into operational health and performance metrics.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
Overtime as required to support operational needs.
Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. Two days per week are required in the office, which could possibly increase to additional days some weeks if needed to meet operational needs. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as an Information Technology Generalist 2, Applications Developer 2, Database Analyst, Information Security Specialist 1, or Network Specialist 2(Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
Five years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services; or
Three years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or
One year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.
