Research Associate – Analytical Chemistry (LCMS)

Cambridge, UK

Contract – Inside IR35

We are currently supporting a leading global pharmaceutical organisation in Cambridge with the appointment of a Research Associate to join their Protein Science team.

This is a hands-on laboratory role supporting drug discovery projects through LCMS-based analytical chemistry.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform ASMS screening and compound binding confirmation
Run and optimise LCMS methods
Conduct HPLC-based physical chemistry assays
Provide QC and chemical stability analytical support
Troubleshoot and maintain LCMS systems (4-instrument platform)

Requirements:

BSc/MSc (or equivalent) in Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry / related field
extensive years of industrial laboratory experience
Strong hands-on LCMS experience (maintenance & troubleshooting)
Experience with Waters MassLynx desirable
Excellent organisation and documentation skills (ELN experience preferred)
