Working with one of our top financial clients, this role calls for a BA/BSA (Platform Modernization). The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in business analysis within the banking sector, particularly in modernization and digitization initiatives, to support our client's ongoing technology transformation.

Pay rate range (CAD): $68.84/hr – $82.60/hr

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements.
Translate business needs into detailed user stories, functional specifications, and process maps.
Liaise with development teams to communicate requirements clearly and facilitate understanding of technical considerations.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies to ensure an agile mindset is embedded throughout project phases.
Lead business process reengineering efforts to optimize workflows and support modernization goals.
Provide insights and recommendations on digitization strategies and system upgrades.
Bridge communication between business units and technical teams, ensuring alignment and clarity.

Desired Skill-Set

7-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within the banking industry.
Strong familiarity with Agile methodologies and active participation in Agile ceremonies.
Understanding of technology stacks, with the ability to communicate effectively with developers without coding experience.
Expertise in developing business process flows and converting functional knowledge into technical requirements.
Proven experience in creating and refining user stories aligned with project deliverables.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Prior experience in industries such as Insurance or Telecom.
Hands-on involvement in modernization, digitization, and large-scale business transformation projects.
Strong soft skills with the ability to articulate UI functions and end-to-end process flows.
Demonstrated ability to explain the "why" behind project tasks, providing strategic insights rather than just execution.
