At KPMG Belgium, we are dedicated to helping our clients achieve financial excellence by providing innovative CFO Advisory services. Currently we are seeking a Director in CFO Advisory to focus on our clients in the banking sector. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of change and help shaping the financial future of our clients in the banking.

As the Director in CFO Advisory Banking Sector, you will play a critical role in leading high-impact financial transformation projects, advising clients on strategy, and implementing cutting-edge financial solutions.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Client engagement: serve together with the client engagement partner as the primary advisor and trusted partner for senior leadership, building and maintaining strong client relationships while ensuring successful delivery of CFO Advisory services.
Finance transformation leadership: oversee and drive finance transformation programs, helping organizations streamline their financial processes, integrate advanced technologies, and optimize reporting and decision-making.
Team leadership: manage and inspire cross-functional teams, providing mentorship and guidance.
Technology integration: advise clients on integrating new financial technologies that improve automation, analytics, and reporting.
Change management: lead and manage organizational change efforts, guiding clients through transitions to new financial systems and processes to ensure successful adoption.

Skills & Qualifications

Master’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; or a Bachelor’s degree with significant experience in the financial sector.
10+ years of experience in financial consulting is a must.
Strong leadership and project management skills.
In-depth knowledge of financial processes, systems, and technologies.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Business consulting skills: thinking conceptually and practically; collaboration; organization and time management; flexibility; curiosity.
Proven track record in finance transformation projects in the banking sector.
A proven CFO level network in the banking sector.
Foundation AI Leadership Skills: You confidently navigate AI topics and are able to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders, make ethically sound decisions and adapt to evolving technologies.
Fluency in English and either Dutch or French (both written and spoken).
