Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to support desktop application onboarding and enterprise connectivity initiatives across its private markets platform. This role sits at the intersection of technology, data, and investment operations, partnering closely with business and technology stakeholders to improve how applications, data flows, and access models are implemented and governed.

The focus of this role is not hands-on coding, but rather translating business and operational needs into clear technical requirements related to desktop application onboarding, SSO integration, and secure file transfer (SFTP) connectivity. You will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making and improving digital and AI-enabled workflows that support private market investment teams.

Key Responsibilities

Act as an IT Business Analyst supporting desktop application onboarding initiatives, including access models, SSO connectivity, and SFTP setup
Partner with investment, portfolio performance, and technology teams to translate business requirements into technical and operational specifications
Gather, document, and manage business and functional requirements, including BRDs, functional specs, process maps, and target operating models
Support digital and AI-driven initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve data collection, analytics, automation, and operational efficiency
Analyze existing processes across the asset management lifecycle to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for enhancement
Serve as a bridge between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity of requirements and alignment on delivery outcomes
Independently contribute to defining features, user stories, and delivery milestones for technology initiatives
Support data-driven decision-making through analysis of structured and unstructured data
Proactively manage stakeholder expectations, resolve issues, and drive consensus across business and technology teams

Required Qualifications

Proven experience as a Business Analyst within financial services, ideally supporting Private Markets or asset management environments
Strong understanding of IT concepts related to desktop applications, identity and access management, SSO integrations, and SFTP connectivity
Demonstrated experience defining requirements and translating business needs into technical or platform-level solutions
Experience supporting digital transformation, data, automation, or AI-enabled initiatives
Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making and operational optimization
Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts, system requirements, or model outputs to non-technical stakeholders
Proven ability to work effectively across business and technology teams in complex environments
Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or BI platforms
