Business Analyst (Oil Trading) - Commodity Trading - Outside IR35 - London

I am seeking an experienced Oil Trading Business Analyst with strong ETRM expertise to join my commodity trading client.

This role requires a deep functional ETRM BA, not an operations or logistics-focused analyst. You will bring strong end-to-end lifecycle knowledge, particularly across valuations and risk, with direct experience working on or around Amphora Symphony (ideally)

The Role Requirement

I am specifically looking for a Business Analyst who:

Understands the full end-to-end oil trading lifecycle
Has strong exposure to valuations and risk
Has worked deeply within ETRM systems (not just alongside them)
Can bridge front office, risk, finance and technology
Brings genuine system configuration / functional depth – not purely process or operational experience

Core Responsibilities (not an exhaustive list)

Act as the functional SME across the oil trading lifecycle within the ETRM landscape
Lead requirements gathering and functional design across:
Trade capture
Pricing & exposure
Valuations (MTM, curve management, pricing models)
Risk reporting
Settlements & invoicing
Work extensively with Amphora Symphony (ideal experience)
Translate trading and risk requirements into detailed functional specifications

This role requires 3 days per week in the office, and falls Outside IR35.
