Relationship Associate, Correspondent Services - 12 Month Contract
Location: Toronto or Vancouver
How does the role impact the organization?
Raymond James Correspondent Services, a division of Raymond James Ltd. is seeking a Correspondent Services Relationship Associate to join our team.
As a key contributor to the Raymond James Correspondent Services (RJCS) team you will manage the service relationship with existing Custody and Introducer clients and assist in the transition of new clients to the firm. Reporting to the Client Experience Manager RJCS, you will contribute to the ongoing growth and development of a highly effective and efficient team. As first-class client service is the top priority, this position requires an ability to work in a unique pressure-oriented environment where inherent processing and regulatory rules and deadlines require very strong problem solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
What will your role be responsible for?
Serve as a key point of first contact for our Correspondent clients, responding to inquiries regarding RJCS business processes, regulatory issues, troubleshooting, and general service matters.
Proactively escalate issues, exceptions, or delays to ensure timely resolution and adherence to procedures.
Liaise with third‑party vendors to coordinate external services as required to meet client needs and department objectives.
Follow departmental best‑practice guidelines for communication and client engagement.
Provide clients with initial training and ongoing support on new and existing procedures and products.
Monitor client‑related control accounts and review client bulk trading and allocation processing.
Manage recurring daily, weekly, and monthly reporting with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and time delivery.
Support project implementation through coordination and ongoing assistance.
Perform other duties as assigned.

What do we expect from you?
To qualify for this opportunity you possess:
Minimum 1 years related experience in the operations of a national investment dealer, a correspondent clearing firm or other financial services firms.
Fundamental investment concepts, practices, and procedures used in the securities industry.
Excellent customer service abilities gained from direct, client-facing experiences.
The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment, able to multi-task with accuracy and efficiency.
The ability to work within deadlines in a high-volume and demanding environment while maintaining a high level of service and an imperative attention to detail.
Work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
Exercise tact and discretion in the handling of confidential information.
Proven ability to be self-motivated and to work under pressure.
Superior problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
Organization, detail orientation, and prioritization.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
French language skills are an asset.
Dataphile experience is a definite asset.

Salary Range: $50,000-60,000 annually, in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.
Actual compensation will be determined based on skills, experience, internal equity, and other job requirements.
