About the role

As part of Enterprise Engineering, the Workday Recruiting/Talent Acquisition Engineer sets the bar for technical excellence and innovation across our Talent Acquisition platform—driving configuration strategy, automation, integration optimization, and continuous validation at scale. You'll bring deep Workday Recruiting and ATS functional knowledge, combined with strong engineering capabilities, applying technical rigor to enterprise-grade recruiting system configuration, data management, and testing in a fast-paced, high-volume hiring environment.

Scope includes Workday Recruiting, Advanced Recruiting, Candidate Experience (Career Site), ATS Tech Stack (HiredScore, Paradox, iCIMS integration), Talent Acquisition processes, Onboarding, and recruiting analytics/reporting. You'll build robust, scalable automated solutions and manage the quality lifecycle in our Workday Recruiting ecosystem, ensuring compliance, data integrity, candidate experience excellence, and recruitment efficiency requirements for a rapidly growing company.

What you'll be doing
Design and own the end-to-end Workday Recruiting configuration and integration strategy for Recruiting, Advanced Recruiting, Career Site, ATS integrations (HiredScore, Paradox), Onboarding, and Talent Acquisition workflows—balancing technical excellence with speed to delivery and optimal candidate experience.
Build, maintain, and scale Workday Recruiting configurations, including job requisition templates, candidate pipelines, offer management, background check integrations, recruiting events, interview scheduling, and agency portal functionality; ensure seamless data flow across systems.
Design and implement comprehensive automated test coverage for recruiting processes using Tricentis Tosca or similar tools; manage test execution and traceability in qTest; integrate results into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality validation.
Create reusable configuration frameworks and templates (job req templates, screening questions, candidate evaluation forms, offer letter templates, recruiting business process steps) that standardize processes, reduce configuration time, and improve system reliability.
Drive API-level and end-to-end integration testing across the Talent Acquisition ecosystem (e.g., requisition creation to hire, candidate sourcing, screening workflows, offer approval, background checks, I-9 verification, onboarding handoff to HCM), including third-party vendor integrations and Workday web services.
Validate Workday Recruiting Extend apps, custom objects, and advanced configurations to ensure functional correctness, security, accessibility, compliance (OFCCP, EEOC), and performance under high-volume recruiting loads.
Establish recruiting-specific quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting (including time-to-fill, candidate conversion rates, system uptime, integration success rates, configuration coverage, defect density) that enable data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
Champion candidate experience excellence: partner with Recruiting, Employer Branding, and TA Operations teams to optimize career site performance, mobile responsiveness, application completion rates, and candidate communication workflows.
Lead technical design reviews and configuration governance for recruiting process changes, partner with Workday Recruiting Consultants, Integration Engineers, and HRIS teams on design patterns and apply configuration best practices to recruiting assets.
Drive root cause analysis and systemic improvements across recruiting data quality, process bottlenecks, integration failures, and user experience issues; continuously optimize configuration efficiency and recruiting operations effectiveness.
Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition, Recruiting Operations, HR Technology, Compliance, DEI, People Analytics, and vendor partners (HiredScore, Paradox, background check providers) to align technical solutions with business priorities, hiring goals, and regulatory requirements.
Manage Workday Recruiting roadmap alignment with bi-annual releases and feature updates; evaluate new Recruiting functionality, lead pilot programs
