Role Summary

We are looking for a senior GRC engineer to build and enhance a compliance automation platform that provides a comprehensive view of organizational compliance posture.

This is a coding-first role. Candidates will be evaluated primarily on hands-on development and live coding, not architecture-only or strategy-heavy discussions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end software solutions for compliance automation
Take ownership across the full SDLC: design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
Write clean, efficient, reusable, and testable code
Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js
Develop responsive frontend components using React.js
Work with PostgreSQL and other relational/non-relational databases
Rapidly prototype ideas and improve existing reporting and internal tools
Collaborate with cross-functional teams while working independently in ambiguous environments
Continuously improve internal platforms, tools, and documentation

Required Qualifications

10+ years of hands-on software development experience
Strong hands-on coding skills (primary requirement)
Expert-level experience with:
Node.js (Backend)
React.js (Frontend)
PostgreSQL
Ability to write, explain, debug, and optimize code efficiently
Comfortable with live coding technical interviews
Experience designing and developing APIs (Node.js, Express.js)
Strong understanding of modern development practices: Agile, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, microservices
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, and Redux
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently with minimal direction

Nice to Have

Experience with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO, PCI, FedRAMP, etc.)
Exposure to cloud platforms and SRE practices
Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB) and server-side templating (EJS)
