Job Specifications

Title: Software Engineer

Location: Sparks, MD 21152

Duration: 7+ Month Contract

Pay Rate: $58/hr

Job Summary:

Join BD’s Agile team to develop a middleware platform connecting medical devices with hospital Laboratory Information Systems (LIS). Contribute to high-quality feature delivery and solution design in a regulated medical device environment.

Responsibilities:

Deliver well-designed, well-tested features in bi-weekly sprints
Collaborate with solution architects on system design
Participate in feature grooming and product enhancements
Gain knowledge in the medical device domain

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in CS, Engineering, or related field
4–6+ years of experience in .NET Framework and JavaScript
Experience building enterprise-level applications
Unit Testing experience (Mandatory)

Preferred:

RESTful Services, Angular (15+), TypeScript, C#, T-SQL, React/Bootstrap, Azure DevOps/Git, SOA/REST architecture, SAFe/LeSS, SDLC knowledge, and experience in regulated/biomedical environments.
