Position Name – IP Core / Transport Project Manager

Job Description:
Seeking someone to lead end-to-end delivery of projects across IP Core, management networks, wireline core, and optical transport domains within telecom environment. The role ensures complex network initiatives are planned, executed, and delivered on time, within budget, and to defined technical and business requirements.

Strong PM exp who can deliver projects end to end, DWDM, NSA/SA, OTN
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate projects involving IP Core, service edge (SDE), enterprise networks, management networks, wireline core, and optical transport.
Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies, ensuring alignment with telecom standards and practices.
Collaborate closely with network design and engineering teams on IP/MPLS, SDN, NFV, routing, QoS, capacity planning, and performance optimization activities.
Coordinate technical implementation, testing, cutovers, and migrations, ensuring minimal service impact and adherence to security and risk-mitigation requirements.
Manage vendors and stakeholders, drive effective communication and reporting, and ensure clear decision-making and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Skills
Previous Telecom experience with IP Core is required.
PMP certification required, with strong project management and coordination skills in network infrastructure environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of IP/MPLS networks, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, IS-IS), SDN/NFV, traffic engineering, QoS, and core network security.
Experience working with Cisco and Juniper platforms; familiarity with automation (e.g., Python, Ansible) and monitoring tools is an asset.
Demonstrated technical leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive complex technical initiatives to completion.
Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder/vendor management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
