Salary: National (Edinburgh and Leeds) ranging from £52,400 to £80,600 and London from £57,700 to £88,600 (salary offered will be based on skills and experience)

The Data, Technology and Innovation (DTI) division enables the FCA to be a digital-first, data-led smart regulator by delivering a secure, agile, and cost-effective technology and data ecosystem that drives better decisions, transparency, and operational efficiency.

Sitting within DTI, the Digital Systems team delivers the systems that enable the FCA to be a more effective and smarter regulator. The DevOps Team manages and optimises DevSecOps platforms, focusing on secure, high-performing deployment pipelines and scalable technical solutions aligned with strategic goals. Core technologies include Salesforce and Copado for case management and AWS for cloud infrastructure.

Role Responsibilities

Provide DevOps service to the Product Group, building, improving and operating Salesforce cloud infrastructure and applications
Be responsible to ensure that all the Salesforce environments used in route to Live are managed, controlled and maintained to a high standard to support the Product Group's change and run needs
Deliver and support cloud services that meet company standards, ensuring quality and reliability
Monitor cloud platforms for compliance with security and design rules, managing incidents and changes effectively
Oversee environment management by maintaining inventories, scheduling usage and aligning test systems with live environments
Collaborate with project and support teams to resolve issues, address risks and improve infrastructure usability
Test and validate environments to ensure they meet standards, while continuously enhancing platform performance and cost-efficiency
Develop and maintain environment management processes, promote security compliance and support adoption across teams

Minimum

Skills required:

Demonstrated experience as a Salesforce DevOps Engineer with experience as a Salesforce Administrator within a large organisation
Extensive knowledge of DevOps for Salesforce cloud infrastructure, DevOps concepts, methods and tooling, agile delivery methods, collaboration tooling with Kanban and Scrum teams, product management, operational service acceptance requirements, ITIL enterprise operations frameworks
Manage technical deliverables and working with suppliers to implement solutions

Essential

A Salesforce admin or Developer certification
Significant experience with branching models, automated deployment and release processes, and technologies such as Git, PowerShell/Bash scripting, Jenkins or GitHub Actions; Copado familiarity is preferred but optional
Solid understanding of collaboration tools such as JIRA, monitoring and logging platforms like Datadog, and familiarity with industry standards and how large organizations design, build, and run critical systems using Agile/DevOps practices
Demonstrated ability to lead post-incident analyses to determine root causes and implement preventive actions
Effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively with developers and product owners to discuss and resolve issues
Experience with Agile software development practices and Scrum methodology; involvement in project lifecycles with knowledge of Programme Management and DevOps methodologies, including frameworks such as Prince2 and Agile; experience coaching others in environment‑management frameworks, processes and procedures
Experience overseeing outsourced and offshore infrastructure operations; practical experience with Salesforce DevOps tools such as Copado; skilled in authoring AWS cloud infrastructure code to support enterprise-scale architectures
