About the Role

The Senior ETL Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining applications using a variety of technologies that support multiple lines of Business and IT initiatives. This individual may work independently or collaborate with a smaller group of ETL engineers in similar efforts.

Responsibilities

Technical analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of IT solutions as needed by business or IT.
Develop and maintain applications using a variety of technologies like Informatica, shell scripting, SQL, and ETL.
Comprehend and analyze business requirements.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise across Medica Data warehouse.
Create technical and design documents in collaboration with the Data Architecture team.
Translate requirements into Functional and Technical Specifications for Common Information Model (CIM).
Ensure technical specifications meet Analytics requirements while mitigating security risks.
Research, propose, and implement development best practices.
Conduct code reviews for completed work.
Perform integration testing and system testing.
Support and maintain Service Level Agreements established by Medica IT.

Qualifications

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
Major: BS in Computer Science or related field a plus
Years of experience required: 8+ years in data warehouse environment and building ETL solutions.

Required Skills

Proficiency in SQL and Oracle PL/SQL (5-8 years).
Experience in healthcare environment (2-5 years).
ETL (SAS) experience (5-8 years).
Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing methodology (5-8 years preferred).
Strong data analysis skills.

Preferred Skills

Knowledge of Snowflake implementation.
Strong analytical skills.

The projected hourly range for this position is $___60.00___to $___70.00____.
