SAFe Scrum Master

We’re seeking a proactive, highly motivated Scrum Master with strong technical understanding in SAFe Agile practices. This role supports 1–2 Agile teams, ensuring delivery alignment, day-to-day team execution, proper communication flow, and effective planning across the Program Increment (PI) cycle. The ideal candidate demonstrates extreme ownership—a self-starter who anticipates issues, drives solutions, and confidently facilitates Agile ceremonies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and facilitate daily Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile team rituals.
Ensure team is on track with sprint commitments, identifying roadblocks early and driving resolution.
Maintain strong discipline around user stories, backlog readiness, sprint hygiene, and delivery timelines.
Support quarterly SAFe PI planning, partnering closely with the Product team on checks, balances, risks, and dependencies.
Coordinate with Release Train (RT) leadership to maintain alignment with timelines, capacity, and cross-team deliverables.
Act as a liaison between Agile teams and other groups during planning, execution, and syncs.
Serve as the primary point of communication for escalations, risks, and progress updates to key stakeholders.
Participate in coaching syncs and cross-team meetings to drive continuous improvement and consistency.
Promote Agile best practices while supporting team maturity and self-organization.
Required Qualifications
3–5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile environments.
Hands-on experience working with Business Intelligence teams or technical data-driven projects.
Understanding Snowflake, ETL pipelines, or similar data engineering platforms.
SAFe Agile experience (critical requirement) — must have directly supported PI planning on a quarterly basis.
Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, etc.).
Agile certification (SAFe, PMI-ACP, or equivalent).
Strong Jira experience; familiarity with emerging Jira AI features a plus.
Demonstrated ability to take extreme ownership — highly proactive, self-motivated, and execution-oriented.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting more than one Agile team simultaneously.
Exposure to AI tools within delivery environments (not required but beneficial).
Background in BI, analytics, or data engineering teams.
