Construction Supervisor (Transmission Line Projects)

Work Location: Saint John, New Brunswick (On-site)
Start Date: May 2026
Contract Duration: Long-term contract (approx. 3 years)

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to support a large-scale transmission line infrastructure project in the Saint John, NB region. This is a long-term opportunity for a senior Powerline professional with strong field leadership and construction oversight experience.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee day-to-day transmission line construction activities on site
Coordinate contractors, field teams, and project stakeholders
Plan site mobilization and support construction execution activities
Conduct regular site meetings and provide progress reporting to project leadership
Monitor project schedules, quality standards, and safety compliance
Identify risks, deficiencies, and corrective actions during construction execution
Support materials coordination and resource planning
Assist with project planning activities during lower construction periods
Ensure environmental, safety, and quality requirements are met at all times

Required Qualifications

Certified Powerline Technician with 10+ years of industry experience
Proven experience supervising transmission line construction and/or maintenance projects
Strong background in construction or field operations leadership
Experience managing contractors and coordinating site activities
Valid driver’s license
Ability to work primarily on-site for extended project phases

Preferred Experience

Experience supporting utility or large infrastructure transmission projects
Resource planning or field operations coordination experience
Familiarity with transmission line maintenance programs
Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint)
Bilingual (English/French) considered an asset

Work Environment

On-site role supporting year-round construction activities
Combination of field supervision and planning coordination depending on project phase
Candidates located in New Brunswick or willing to relocate are strongly preferred
This role does not include relocation assistance
