Job Specifications

Dasro is looking for a Senior Desktop Support for one of its clients in Calgary, Alberta.

Term: 6 months (Possibility of extension)

Location: On-site (Calgary)

Hours: 40 hours per week (Flexibility required: shifts may start as early as 6 AM or end at 6 PM; includes an on-call component)

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Serve as a trusted technology partner for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), providing VIP-level "white-glove" support with extreme discretion and professionalism
Lead end-to-end AV operational excellence for executive collaboration spaces, digital signage, and high-visibility events (Town Halls, Investor Days, Employee Forums)
Act as a strategic liaison between the C-suite and technical teams, translating business needs into technology requirements while coordinating with Executive Associates (EAs) to minimize disruption
Drive AI productivity and adoption by educating senior leaders on Microsoft Copilot and helping set up AI agents to automate routine executive tasks
Manage the full hardware lifecycle for executive devices, including yearly laptop upgrades, quarterly backups, and software updates for Windows laptops, MacOS/iPhones, and tablets
Provide hands-on technical troubleshooting in high-pressure environments, including the ability to quietly enter and exit confidential meetings to resolve issues quickly
Oversee specialized connectivity, including the setup and support of satellite phones and Starlink internet for executive use as required
Maintain rigorous data and knowledge integrity by updating user guides and support documentation tailored specifically to ELT workflows
Facilitate professional virtual presentations by managing Teams Live events and troubleshooting complex AV hardware (Logitech, Cisco technology)
Collaborate across functional teams to ensure a consistent, executive-ready experience across all corporate sites

Mandatory Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of professional experience in IT Support or Desktop Support (preferably in a Senior or VIP-facing capacity)
Direct, hands-on experience with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Teams Live, Outlook, and advanced Office Suite features
Proven technical proficiency with iPhones (MacOS), Windows laptops, and high-end AV infrastructure (Logitech, Cisco)
Strong understanding of AI tools, specifically Microsoft Copilot, with the ability to coach others on automation and productivity features
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills (Native or bilingual English proficiency required) with a calm, confident, and discreet demeanor
Ability to handle high-pressure situations and maintain confidentiality while exposed to high-value documents or sensitive meetings
Flexibility for travel within Canada, the USA, and Mexico as required to support executive initiatives

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in the Energy or Utilities sector, specifically supporting C-suite or senior leadership
Relevant IT Certifications (CompTIA, Microsoft Modern Desktop, etc.)
High-energy, proactive learner who enjoys "huddle-based" environments and frequent stakeholder interaction
Process improvement experience or a background in onboarding users to new digital workplace technologies
Commitment to long-term stability, as this role focuses on building lasting relationships with the executive team
