Job Title: Global Finance Intern Amplify U – Intern

Salary & Benefits: This is a paid internship opportunity. Our Internship Overview
The Amplify U Internship is a structured, paid programme open to individuals aged 18 and over who demonstrate a strong interest in a career in the music industry. Interns are placed within specific departments and will gain meaningful, hands-on experience while developing professionally and personally through curated development sessions, projects and network-building opportunities.

Global finance plays a key role in our company - the team you’ll be working in closely supports the UMG CFO and UMG Board, and provides assistance to the Heads of Finance in the operating companies.
In this position you will be involved in the analysis of the company’s global financial reporting, monitoring and coordinating of the group financial reporting process and monitoring & maintaining finance system rules and perimeters.
The role aims to give you exposure to the two core functions of UMG’s Global Finance team by having a rotation in both Global Financial Reporting team and the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team.
What You’ll Learn
Financial Reporting
As part of the Global Financial Reporting team, you will assist in the coordination of the global finance submission process.
You will support on the monthly consolidation process, including collaborating with finance teams across the globe to gather, validate and consolidate data.
You will be involved in the completion of the monthly / quarterly / forecast / plan consolidation processes and procedures including a number of reconciliations, reports and analysis.
You will help in the development and maintenance our monthly processes and controls
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
As part of the Global FP&A team, you will assist in the running of monthly management presentations across a range of key analysis areas
You will use a range of systems to extract key reports to support monthly analysis within the FP&A team as well as for ad hoc analysis
You will provide commentary and analysis on specific focus areas at both a group and market level
You will provide additional off-cycle support to the UMG Global FP&A team
