Required Qualifications

• Experience coordinating technology/digital transformation initiatives in a complex organization.

• Strong facilitation and stakeholder management skills; able to build consensus across departments.

• Excellent writing skills; able to translate technical topics into clear guidance.

• Analytical skills and experience tracking metrics and reporting progress.

• Working knowledge of generative AI concepts and responsible use considerations (privacy, security, risk).

Key Responsibilities

• AI Strategic Plan: Partner with leadership to develop an AI Strategic Plan, including goals, priority initiatives, roadmap, success measures, and governance recommendations.

• AI Steering Committee: Design and stand up an AI Steering Committee/working group with departmental participation; plan agendas, facilitate meetings, capture decisions, and drive follow-through.

• Coordinate AI initiatives (Copilot rollout, AskAlex/AskDCo enhancements, pilots) including project plans, timelines, dependencies, and status reporting.

• Establish processes for identifying, evaluating, and prioritizing AI use cases across departments; document intake and decision-making.

• Draft and maintain practical governance and enablement materials (use case templates, risk/impact checklists, decision briefs, FAQs, guidance).

• Support training and change management (communications, job aids, staff-ready guidance, adoption support).

• Track adoption and outcomes; develop simple dashboards and reports for leadership (Excel/Power BI).

• Research public-sector best practices and recommend improvements to tools, processes, and responsible AI practices.
