About the Role:
We are looking for an accomplished Enterprise Architect with deep experience in Cloud Architecture, Application Rationalization, and post portfolio modernization strategy. This role will drive enterprise-level architectural vision, lead modernization efforts following rationalization outcomes, and ensure that technology landscapes evolve toward a simplified, scalable, cloud-first target state.
The ideal candidate combines strong architecture leadership, hands-on cloud expertise, and the ability to influence senior business, security, and engineering stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture Leadership
Define and maintain enterprise-wide architecture standards, patterns, and target-state blueprints.
Drive architecture governance and ensure alignment to enterprise principles and strategic objectives.
Guide large organizations through technology modernization and digital transformation initiatives.
Application Rationalization & Post Rationalization Architecture
Lead application portfolio assessments to identify redundancies, risks, modernization candidates, and investment opportunities.
Develop architecture recommendations post-rationalization, including:
Re-platforming or re-hosting
Application consolidation
Retirement or decommissioning
SaaS adoption
Refactoring or modernization into cloud-native/microservices
Create migration roadmaps, decision frameworks, and modernization playbooks.
Cloud Architecture & Modernization
Design scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures across AWS/Azure/GCP.
Develop cloud adoption frameworks including landing zones, networking, IAM, data, and integration patterns.
Partner with engineering teams to implement cloud-native solutions, container platforms, and DevOps pipelines.
Provide guidance on modernization approaches such as serverless, microservices, event-driven design, and API-led architectures.
Technology Strategy & Roadmaps
Define multi-year transformation roadmaps that support business strategy and improve operational efficiency.
Drive decision-making around build vs. buy, SaaS vs. custom, and legacy modernization approaches.
Collaborate with product, data, security, and infrastructure teams to define architecture direction.
Stakeholder & Governance Management
Engage with senior leadership to communicate technology strategy, risks, and architectural recommendations.
Support and guide project teams with solution architecture reviews, design approvals, and risk evaluations.
Work closely with vendors and strategic partners on architecture alignment and platform decisions.
Security, Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure all architecture designs comply with enterprise security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Collaborate with cybersecurity teams on identity, access, network segmentation, encryption, and cloud security posture.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
12 20 years of experience in enterprise and solution architecture.
Deep expertise in application rationalization frameworks and post-assessment architecture design.
Hands-on experience with cloud architecture on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, messaging, event-driven systems, and integration patterns.
Experience in defining and implementing enterprise architecture governance processes.
Familiarity with TOGAF, Zachman, or similar EA frameworks.
Excellent communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
