Job Description – Senior Java Developer (Software Engineer 3)

Location: 701 W. 51st Street, Austin, TX 78751

Work Type: Hybrid (Onsite + Telework)

Contract Type: Contract

Interview: Microsoft Teams

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Role Summary

Senior Java Developers needed to support the SCOR BAU EI parallel initiative. Responsibilities include updating business logic, UI, and the system data model, as well as supporting enhancements and defect corrections across multiple environments.

Responsibilities

Update business logic, UI, and system data model in SCOR Java
Support application enhancements and defect corrections
Perform coding, testing, peer reviews, and documentation
Conduct defect root cause analysis and troubleshooting
Maintain code coverage, testing, and security standards
Available for on-call support as needed

Required Skills (8+ Years Each)

Object Oriented Programming (OOP) in Java
Application development on J2EE platform
Writing SQL for relational databases
RESTful web services on Spring platform
Spring Aspect Oriented Programming (transaction management & security)
JUnit and Unit Test development

Preferred Skills (4+ Years Each)

Angular UI Framework
Crystal Reports
Power BI

Additional Notes

Candidates must already reside in the Austin, TX area — no relocation candidates.
Travel, parking, and living expenses are the candidate's responsibility.
