Embedded Linux / Platform Engineer

London (in person)

Inframesh is creating the intelligence layer for the world’s buildings.

Our system measures the electrical fingerprints of buildings in real time using advanced sensing hardware and embedded AI, transforming raw electrical signals into a deep understanding of how buildings operate.

We are preparing our first hardware deployments and are looking for an Embedded Linux / Platform Engineer to help build the software platform powering our devices.

You will work closely with the founder and hardware team to turn a working prototype into a reliable product deployed in real buildings.

Responsibilities

• Develop software running on embedded Linux systems

• Build services for ingesting and processing time-series electrical data

• Integrate an existing machine learning inference pipeline into device software

• Develop APIs and system interfaces

• Support device connectivity and remote diagnostics

• Implement the first version of the product interface based on existing Figma designs

• Work closely with firmware and hardware engineers during system integration

Requirements

• Strong Python and Linux experience

• Comfortable working close to hardware

• Familiar with networking and device communication

• Curious about signal processing and machine learning

• Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment

Engineers from robotics, IoT, embedded AI or systems backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.

Machine Learning

The system already includes an existing ML pipeline and labelled dataset.

You will help integrate and evolve this platform alongside our technical advisors, including Professor Ahmed Zoha, an expert in AI for energy systems.

Compensation

Salary: £45,000

Equity: 1%
