Location: London | Head Office

Our client, a leading FTSE 250 firm in the Real Estate industry, is seeking a Head of Technology Projects to lead the delivery of its enterprise technology change portfolio.

This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and deliver strategic technology initiatives across a dynamic property and workspace platform.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Technology, the Head of Technology Projects will be responsible for the successful delivery of the organisation’s technology transformation portfolio. This includes major initiatives across core platforms such as ERP, CRM, cloud and data, as well as customer-facing and operational improvement programmes.

The successful candidate will act as the bridge between business strategy and execution, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and with clear, measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio & Delivery Leadership

Lead the end-to-end delivery of the organisation’s technology change portfolio
Ensure projects are aligned with business strategy and value drivers
Establish clear prioritisation, sequencing and dependency management across initiatives
Provide transparency and confidence to the executive team through predictable delivery

Programme & Project Governance

Define and operate robust governance frameworks, including stage gates, reporting and delivery controls
Chair programme steering groups and act as the escalation point for delivery risks and issues
Ensure strong business cases, benefits tracking and post-implementation reviews
Promote consistent use of delivery frameworks including Agile, Waterfall and hybrid approaches

Stakeholder & Executive Engagement

Partner with senior business leaders to translate strategic objectives into executable delivery plans
Act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Committee on delivery progress, risks and priorities
Communicate clearly and effectively at board and executive level

Commercial & Partner Management

Own delivery budgets, financial forecasts and cost control
Select, manage and hold delivery partners and systems integrators accountable
Ensure contracts and statements of work support successful outcomes

Risk, Quality & Change Management

Identify and manage programme risks, dependencies and operational impacts
Ensure solutions are operationally ready and adopted by the business
Embed effective change management and business readiness practices

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will bring significant experience leading complex technology programmes within a commercial organisation.

Essential Experience

Extensive experience delivering complex technology programmes and portfolios
Proven track record delivering large-scale transformations such as ERP, CRM, data or cloud platforms
Strong governance, financial management and programme planning capability
Exceptional stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills
Experience managing mixed delivery models including internal teams, SaaS vendors and external partners
Ability to balance pace, risk, cost and quality in a fast-moving business environment

Desirable Experience

Exposure to digital transformation, data and analytics initiatives
Formal programme delivery certifications (e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, Agile or SAFe)
