Lead Software Engineer: Cyber Startup

Location: London (or can easily commute for two days per month to London headquarter)

We're partnering with a well-funded, cybersecurity intelligence company building a next-generation third-party and supply chain risk platform.

They are now looking to bring on a lead software engineer - someone who wants real ownership, architectural influence, and the chance to help shape the company.

The Opportunity

You’ll join as a Senior Lead Software Engineer, working closely with the Director of Engineering to:

Design and build scalable backend services (TypeScript/Node.js + Python)
Architect systems that ingest and process large-scale intelligence data
Own and evolve AWS infrastructure
Implement Infrastructure-as-Code
Establish engineering standards, patterns and best practices
Influence architectural direction as the platform matures
Help hire and mentor future engineers

Strong backend focus, but you’re comfortable contributing across the stack when needed.

What They’re Looking For

4+ years backend experience (strong TypeScript/Node.js + Python)
Hands-on AWS infrastructure experience in production environments
Comfortable owning problems end-to-end
Someone who cares about doing things properly from day one
