Job Title: Platform Operations Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: Long term

Role Overview
We are seeking a Platform Operations Engineer who is a technically curious problem solver with experience in AWS cloud environments, DevOps practices, serverless architectures, and automation.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with event-driven cloud applications, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential as this role works closely with multiple engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Implementation (75%)
Design and build cloud-based solutions using Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD best practices
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate infrastructure lifecycle management
Build and support internal tools and automation frameworks to improve developer productivity
Develop scripts and automation using Python or JavaScript
Work with AWS cloud services to create scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions
Collaborate with software engineers, security teams, infrastructure teams, and network teams to implement platform capabilities
Research emerging technologies and contribute to continuous platform improvement
Contribute to the development and growth of the Cloud Engineering Program

Team Operations & Support (25%)
Implement cloud-first architecture and platform best practices
Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Grooming, Demos, and Retrospectives
Conduct peer reviews of software engineering artifacts
Maintain, monitor, and operate platform infrastructure
Troubleshoot and resolve production and system issues
Ensure adherence to security policies, operational standards, and development best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications
3 years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, orchestration, and modern DevOps practices
Strong experience working with AWS cloud infrastructure
Experience with CI/CD frameworks and automation pipelines
Experience developing event-driven serverless cloud applications
Strong knowledge of Cloud Computing, DevOps, and Microservices architecture
Scripting or development experience using Python, JavaScript, Node.js, or React.js
Experience working with distributed cloud systems

Preferred AWS Experience
