**Job Title**
DevOps Engineer V
**Role Summary**
Lead cloud‑native infrastructure design, automation, and data platform operations in a HIPAA‑compliant environment. Architect and maintain secure, scalable solutions on AWS/GCP, build CI/CD pipelines, manage data pipelines, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure high availability, monitoring, and compliance.
**Expectations**
- Deliver end‑to‑end DevOps services for production workloads.
- Enforce security and regulatory controls (HIPAA).
- Drive automation and efficiency improvements across the infrastructure life cycle.
- Maintain high reliability, scalability, and cost‑efficiency of services.
- Act as a technical mentor for junior DevOps and data engineers.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).
- Build and maintain automation tools (Ansible, shell scripts).
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins/ArgoCD, testing, monitoring).
- Oversee containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Provide cost‑optimal, secure cloud deployments on AWS and/or GCP.
- Monitor systems with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack; respond to incidents.
- Design, build, and optimize batch and streaming data pipelines.
- Develop data integration & ETL/ELT workflows (Airflow, DBT, custom scripts).
- Architect cloud data platforms (Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks).
- Enforce data governance, quality, and HIPAA compliance.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, product, and compliance teams.
- Optional: Leverage VMware, networking, and storage expertise where needed.
**Required Skills**
- Strong coding experience (Python, Go, Bash).
- IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi.
- Configuration management: Ansible.
- CI/CD & automation: Git, Jenkins, ArgoCD, GitLab CI.
- Containerization & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes.
- Cloud platforms: AWS (Redshift, RDS, S3, EC2, EKS) or GCP (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, GKE).
- Monitoring & logging: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
- Data pipeline tools: Airflow, DBT, custom ETL.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA rules and data security best practices.
- Excellent scripting, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
**Optional/Desirable**
- VMware virtualization experience.
- Networking/storage architecture knowledge.
- Direct HIPAA compliance implementation experience.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.

- Terraform Associate
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
