Pay Rate: $30.00/hour on W2
Contract Length: 2 months (likely extension up to 6 months; potential conversion not guaranteed)
Location: Austin, TX 78759 (Onsite)
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Raise is currently hiring a contract team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Overview

The Benefits Administrator is responsible for supporting and delivering day-to-day operations of company benefits programs, including Group health, dental, and vision, Short-term and long-term disability, Life insurance and accident plans, Flexible spending accounts (FSA), Health savings accounts (HSA), Retirement plans, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), Leave of absence (LOA) and Wellbeing programs.
Provides exceptional customer service to employees, ensuring they understand available benefits and receive timely, accurate support.
Works closely with HR Partners, Shared Services (1st Point HR), Finance, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance, accuracy, and an excellent employee experience.
Requires a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and a strong willingness to learn. Extensive training (approximately one month) will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

Core Benefits Administration & Operations
Maintain benefits databases and ensure data accuracy across systems (Workday, BenefitSolver, Fidelity, Payroll, ServiceNow).
Monitor benefit data flow and troubleshoot discrepancies.
Update and maintain employee records.
Process benefit-related invoices and coordinate with Finance.
Partner with carriers, brokers, and accounting teams for monthly billing and payment processing.
Employee Support
Serve as escalation point for benefits-related inquiries.
Answer employee benefit questions with professionalism and empathy.
Advise employees on benefit options (directly or via ServiceNow/KISS).
Maintain benefits websites and resources.
Objectively clarify issues and proactively resolve concerns.
Payroll & Audit Support
Perform weekly audits of benefit deductions.
Ensure timely premium payments.
Identify and resolve payroll-related discrepancies.
Compliance & Governance
HIPAA: Plan and execute annual training; ensure documentation completion by October.
COBRA: Coordinate with COBRA administrator for timely notifications.
Prepare data for non-discrimination testing and vendor census requests.
Support audits, government reporting, and annual filings.
Wellbeing Program Support
Support administration and development of wellbeing platform.
Promote annual wellbeing initiatives.
Monitor enrollment and participation statistics.
Update training materials and employee guides.
Create benefits and wellbeing-related communications.
Coordinate distribution lists and approvals with HR.
1st Point HR Support (ServiceNow / KISS)
Respond to Tier 2+ benefits cases within SLA requirements.
Manage dependent updates and override transactions in BenefitSolver.
Verify Qualifying Life Event (QLE) transactions.
Troubleshoot HSA and FSA requests.
Assist with retirement-related inquiries.
Provide guidance on benefits-related forms.
Leave of Absence (LOA) Support
Serve as liaison between employee, manager, HR, and LOA administrator.
Coordinate benefit billing during leave.
Prepare direct billing through BenefitSolver.
Maintain consistent documentation and employee experience throughout leave process.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field with 2+ years of benefits administration experience
OR No degree with 5+ years of relevant benefits administration experience
In-depth knowledge of benefit plans
Hands-on experience with Workday (Required)
Experience with ServiceNow (Shared Services / 1st Point HR) preferred
