Position: Manager, A&A Digital Products
The purpose of the Manager, Digital Products (Product Manager) is to work with our A&A business to ensure they successfully increase the value of their digital development efforts from both within Global A&A, but also within our firms. This is achieved by defining, designing and prioritising features of the digital products from within Global A&A.
The Global A&A Product Owner translates the product vision(s) into the product roadmap(s) and weighs the different requirements coming from different stakeholders to realise the highest business value. The Global A&A Product Owner will be a key part of the the Product Teams (both in house and vendor) and will be accountable for ensuring the product functionality and features developed are in support of the Product strategy and vision.
Key accountabilities
Managing the relationship with their Business Owner(s).
Working with the Business Owner(s) to manage and maintain a frequently prioritised backlog.
Representing the voice of the Business Owner(s).
Setting the roadmap for their Product to determine the inclusion of features and requirements in each version/release. Supporting the development stages and participating in refinement, planning and review
Delivering any upgrades or enhancements required for their Product, as agreed with the A&A business (and aligned with the product delivery teams).
Delivering any technical upgrades or enhancements required for their Product, as agreed with the Technical Product Owner.
Facilitating any required user acceptance of upgrades to minimise business disruption.
Communicating and articulating the benefits of any new features and how they can help BDO deliver on its strategic goals to Stakeholders and development teams.
Assisting in the adoption of new features to empower the users of their Product.
Maintaining the quality of their Product.
The Global A&A Product Owner will have to work with multiple teams across multiple products, therefore the ability to plan and schedule across multiple teams of varying sizes in crucial – aligning to the requirements from the A&A business and other prioritised functional and non-functional requirements from the Global IT department.
Qualifications and Experience
Tertiary qualifications in Audit related discipline, entry-level vendor-aligned certification (e.g. Scrum alliance/Scrum org.)
At least 3 years’ experience as a Product Owner with experience in a complex, professional global environment
Experience developing, analysing and high level designing/definition of digital products and software in alignment with business & technical needs to support revenue growth
Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels with excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies
Proactive self-starter capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrate expertise in product lifecycle and good understanding of business analysis and UX/CX design.
Effectively demonstrate teamwork skills, problem solving skills, initiative and integrity
