Description
Application Security Operations:
Oversee the operational use and effectiveness of application security tools, Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), Static Application Security Testing (SAST), and Software Composition Analysis (SCA). This is top priority, experience with SonarQube, Burpsuite, and JFrog X-ray is a bonus.
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate security testing into the CI/CD pipeline and ensure vulnerabilities identified by these tools are triaged and remediated effectively.
Provide guidance on interpreting scan results and prioritizing remediation efforts for application-level vulnerabilities. Being able to answer how to prioritize remediation efforts is very important in interview and on the job (answer should include things like filtering on CVSScore and focusing on Criticals first, determine if Criticals have a Zero Day / Exploit in the wild, identifying and patching internet facing servers first, and patching Crown Jewels, then everything else.)
Cloud Security
In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure security services, specifically Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Entra ID and Azure Sentinel (SIEM/SOAR). Candidate should at least be able to describe what each of these Azure Services do.
Proficiency in assessing and hardening Azure environments, including IaaS, PaaS, and network security configurations.
Infrastructure Vulnerability Management
Proactively manage and conduct regular vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts for our infrastructure using Microsoft Defender for Cloud. This is priority number 2. If candidate can demonstrate knowledge about what they use Microsoft Defender for Cloud it will give them a huge step up - (Vulnerability management on virtual machines and containers , security scoring and attack path analysis)
Ensure continuous security posture management for cloud and hybrid environments, identifying misconfigurations and security weaknesses.
Work with relevant teams to prioritize and implement recommended security controls and patches identified through Defender for Cloud.
Experience with Python, PowerShell, and KQL scripting while not necessary, will definitely give candidate an advantage.
Candidate should be able to give an example of how they collaborate with DevOps, app teams, etc
Knowledge about Active Directory will help.

Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
