We are working on a Sales Director role with a top company in NYC. Role is in their midtown location and role is 4 days onsite and 1 remote. Sr. Director of Sales on our accessories team. Product categories include SLGS, cold weather and belts. Better licensed brands. Accounts include Macy’s and Belk, Macy’s being the biggest. Candidates must have strong relationships with Macy’s and ideally have accessories experience.

Salary is 170k-185k plus bonus and great benefits, perks.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Director of Sales will drive strategic initiatives to maximize revenue and margins while promoting our brand values. This role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, ensuring alignment with our brand identity.

Strategy & Innovation

Strategically cultivate new accounts and seek opportunities to expand business with existing accounts; strategize means to penetrate new markets; oversee development and maintain business relationships with customers
Guide research and competitive analysis; interpret relevant trends and communicate with internal partners, where appropriate
Oversee development of line plan for Merrell in context of larger assortment and cost structure; review and approve seasonal business proposals for each customer, with suggested assortments based on marketplace and customer base
Collaboratively devise and articulate brand positioning and key strategic initiatives for brand where appropriate; strategize optimal placement in store, including, where applicable, in-store fixtures.

Operations & Results

Lead regular review of shipments and orders, sales and stock levels, merchandising and markdowns with Account Executives
Guide strategies and approve recommendations to maximize sales and minimize markdowns
Manage planning and replenishment business

Customers & Relationships

Manage the cultivation, development and maintenance of relationships with new and existing customers at DMM level and below
Oversee communications and feedback between customers and internal partners in Sales, Design, Production and retail coordinators
Partner with planning and customers to oversee co-op, allowances and givebacks

Leadership & Teams

Contribute positively to team dynamic and manage up where necessary
Train and coach junior team members in selling, negotiating and presentation skills
Monitor and evaluate performance of individuals and team
Attract, develop and retain talent
Manage a team of 5

Required Qualifications:

Superior organizational skills and excellent communication skills; team oriented and out going
8-10+ years experience in wholesale sales
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines; highly detail oriented and meticulous
Strong analytical skills and fluent in retail math
Bachelor's Degree preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP a plus
