The Opportunity:

Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, is seeking a Manager, Strategic Sourcing to join their growing team. In this role you will take ownership of strategic sourcing and vendor management activities across the organization, with a strong focus on IT sourcing and technology vendors. You will act as a trusted advisor to business partners, leading initiatives that drive cost savings, improve operational efficiency, and enhance technology capabilities.

This role blends strategic insight with hands-on execution. You will lead sourcing initiatives from end-to-end — including RFPs, vendor evaluation, contract negotiations, and onboarding — ensuring that IT vendors meet both business and regulatory requirements. Partnering closely with Legal, IT, Risk, Finance, and other internal stakeholders, you will identify opportunities to optimize vendor performance, mitigate risk, and support technology-driven innovation across the enterprise.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead end-to-end sourcing engagements across assigned categories, with a strong focus on IT and technology vendors, including RFPs, vendor evaluation, selection, negotiation, contracting, onboarding, and lifecycle management
Draft, review, and negotiate complex IT contracts, ensuring alignment with Legal, Risk, IT, and business requirements
Conduct spend analysis and technology vendor assessments to identify cost optimization and performance improvement opportunities
Assess and optimize the vendor portfolio, balancing vendor concentration risk with consolidation and performance strategies, including IT vendors and technology solutions
Oversee contract lifecycle management, supplier master data, and documentation governance for IT and non-IT categories
Develop and maintain sourcing dashboards, KPIs, and analytics to support data-driven decisions for technology procurement
Design, implement, and optimize sourcing and vendor management processes, tools, and best practices, with an emphasis on IT and technology sourcing
Serve as a subject matter expert on IT sourcing strategies, vendor management, and technology contracts
Support executive stakeholders in vendor performance management, issue resolution, and contract enforcement
Lead cross-functional initiatives related to sourcing, IT vendor risk, supplier relationships, and technology innovation
Develop supplier performance scorecards for IT and technology vendors, evaluating financial, operational, risk, and relationship metrics
Ensure third-party risks are identified, assessed, monitored, and reported, including technology and cybersecurity considerations
Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement policies, standards, frameworks, and tools
Build expense models and support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities, including IT-related spend

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:

University degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, IT, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, contracts, or vendor management, with demonstrated experience in IT sourcing and technology vendor management
Experience within a bank or financial institution strongly preferred
Proven success managing third-party relationships and negotiating small, medium, and complex contracts, with a strong emphasis on IT and technology categories
Deep understanding of procurement governance, contract management, and vendor performance frameworks, including IT vendor considerations
Familiarity with financial services regulatory requirements (OSFI experience is an asset)
Strong process improvement mindset with experience designing and optimizing technology sourcing workflows
Excellent communication and influencing skills with internal stakeholders and external technology vendors
Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including reporting and executive-level presentations
High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Power BI, Visio, SharePoint; experience with eSourcing tools is an asset

Compensation Expectations: $80,000 - $95,000.
