Cambrian is advancing programs from early clinical development through value creating inflection points. As the organization enters its next phase of growth, the Clinical Operations function is expanding to support multiple concurrent clinical studies with increasing operational complexity.
Position Overview
Cambrian is seeking a Clinical Trial Associate (CTA) to support the planning, execution and day-to-day administration of clinical trials. This role will be responsible for administrative and operational tasks to support the clinical trials throughout their lifecycle.
The Clinical Trial Associate will report to the Senior Director of Clinical Operations and will work closely with the Senior Clinical Trial Manager, internal clinical leadership, CROs, and functional partners. This role requires comfort operating in an early-stage biotech environment, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Trial Support & Administration
Support day-to-day clinical trial activities from study startup through closeout.
Assist with the preparation, organization, and maintenance of essential trial documentation, including TMF/ISF filing and document tracking.
Support clinical trial startup activities and ongoing trial conduct in coordination with Clinical Operations leadership and CROs.
Track trial activities, timelines, and deliverables, escalating issues as appropriate.
Vendor, Contract, and Cross-Functional Coordination
Support coordination of contract and document flow between Clinical Operations, Finance, Legal, Business Operations and external vendors.
Assist with tracking contract status to support timely execution.
Coordinate across internal teams to facilitate smooth communication and handoffs related to clinical operations activities.
Operational Support
Assist with preparation and maintenance of study trackers, plans, and internal status updates.
Support invoice tracking and reconciliation in partnership with Clinical Operations and Finance.
Provide general operational and administrative support to ensure efficient clinical trial execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and approximately 2+ years of experience in clinical operations, clinical trial support, or a related role within biotech, pharma, or a CRO environment.
Prior experience working in an early-stage biotech company.
Familiarity with clinical trial documentation and GCP-regulated environments.
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and follow-through.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and support multiple work streams concurrently.
Cambrian Offers
Compensation
Cambrian offers competitive compensation packages that are made up of base salary, bonus, and equity:
Salary: $80,000-$105,000 offered to NYC employees, commensurate with relevant experience; salary range may vary depending on state of residence
Bonus: Performance-based bonus opportunity
Equity: Employee stock options vesting over four years with a one-year cliff
