Job Specifications
The Client:
This engagement supports a high‑priority, large‑scale digital transformation initiative within a major Canadian federal program focused on modernizing personnel onboarding. The selected ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) will play a key role in shaping a secure, scalable, and compliant ServiceNow HRSD architecture that streamlines end‑to‑end onboarding for both uniformed and civilian personnel.
The project is part of a broader modernization effort responding to longstanding operational challenges and the need for improved recruitment, onboarding, and integration processes. The initiative emphasizes human‑centric design, enterprise alignment, and long‑term platform sustainability, resulting in a production‑ready onboarding solution that enhances efficiency, reduces timelines, and supports future growth.
Key Responsibilities:
· Review existing HRSD architecture, configurations, integrations, and roadmaps.
· Validate functional and non‑functional requirements to ensure alignment with project needs.
· Assess onboarding requirements and determine where shared components can be reused or separated.
· Establish and lead architectural governance processes and design review forums.
· Define and enforce platform standards, guardrails, and configuration principles.
· Approve solution designs and maintain Architecture Decision Records (ADRs).
· Develop a multi‑workstream HRSD architectural design supporting multiple onboarding programs.
· Define security architecture, access controls, audit requirements, and segregation controls.
· Design onboarding data models, lifecycle states, and end‑to‑end business process flows.
· Define and review integration patterns and technical standards across the program.
· Provide oversight on configuration vs. customization decisions and review solution designs.
· Define testing and regression strategies for shared module delivery.
· Lead architectural defect triage, release coordination, and change control processes.
· Produce and maintain architectural documentation, diagrams, and ADRs.
· Define operational readiness requirements, support boundaries, and runbook content.
