Valentino offers a hybrid working schedule with three days in office, and two days remote. This role is a full-time permanent position based in our New York Office.

Overview

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The Junior Account Executive is responsible for the selling and financial management of Independent Accounts. They will support the Senior Sales Manager and the wider wholesale department in driving sales, maintaining and analyzing sales reports, conducting product knowledge clinics and providing superior customer service. This position will also support the administration of orders, organization of sales market and manage sample requests. Travel of 20 – 30% may be required for this position.

This role is based out of our NY office and reports to the Senior Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Manage specialty wholesale customer relationships and support the major and department store accounts
Prepare for market by scheduling appointments, presenting collection and processing orders and swaps
Run weekly selling reports, gathering data and reporting to Executive team and Corporate HQ in Italy
Monitor relevant trends and analyze sales and competitive selling; collaborating with the Sr Sales
Manager to design sales target strategies to increase profitability
Manage account inventory for replenishment and minimize end of season inventory
Track and monitor sales to determine new opportunities for re-orders
Manage account orders and order status, generating shipping reports, allocation and EDI worksheets in partnership with the Customer Service team
Maintain line sheets, exit list, buy books, stock list and account recaps
Product delivery and analysis, replenishments, purchase orders
Conduct Product Knowledge clinics domestically with Independents and Major accounts each season to educate on new products, design, trends and value
Manage sample request for product knowledge trainings
Potential for International travel to show the collection to clients in the showroom in Milan and Paris if needed

Requirements :

1 – 3 years’ experience in Wholesale environment
Basic understanding of sales principles
Strong retail math and analytical skills
Intermediate to advance skills in Microsoft Excel
Critical thinking skills and strong relationship management
Strong public speaking, in addition to excellent interpersonal skills
Flexible to travel domestically and internationally (20 – 30% travel)

Budgeted salary - $65 - 70K + bonus (based on experience)
