Position
Within the CIB Back Office department, you will join the team responsible for supporting and developing critical financial systems. You will contribute to the maintenance, enhancement, and automation of financial transaction processing (fixing, settlement, reporting, risk) to ensure operational reliability and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain applications and scripts for financial flow processing
Automate and optimize back-office processes for derivatives, equities, bonds, and structured financing products
Collaborate with front-office, middle-office, and risk teams to understand business requirements
Contribute to continuous improvement of existing systems (refactoring, performance optimization, monitoring)
Produce and maintain technical documentation and internal control procedures
Ensure compliance with security standards and financial regulations
Candidate Profile
Hard Skills
Strong proficiency in backend languages: Java, C#, Python, SQL, or C++
Solid knowledge of relational databases and financial flow management systems
Experience with internal/external APIs and messaging systems (e.g., FIX, MQ, Kafka)
Knowledge of financial products: equities, bonds, derivatives, structured products
Understanding of CIB back-office processes (settlement, confirmation, reconciliation, risk)
Best development practices: unit testing, CI/CD, documentation
Excellent command of English

Ability to work in a demanding and regulated environment
Strong analytical and rigorous mindset
Good communication skills and team spirit
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
Curiosity for finance and ability to quickly understand business needs
Education & Experience
Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
8+ years of experience on banking projects, ideally within CIB back-office environments
Knowledge of regulatory frameworks (EMIR, SFTR, MiFID II) is a plus
Work Environment
Join a team of approximately 60 consultants based in Paris 8th arrondissement
Permanent contract (CDI) – Immediate availability or to be agreed
Partial remote work depending on assignments
