Job Description

This role will be based in Hillsboro, OR.
The Data Center Asset Management team is responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle governance of physical infrastructure assets deployed across LinkedIn’s data centers.
We partner closely with Data Center Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Security, and external vendors to ensure assets are received, tracked, deployed, serviced, and retired accurately and in compliance with operational and financial controls.
The team operates at the intersection of infrastructure reliability, audit readiness, and operational scale, supporting critical business functions such as capacity delivery, break-fix readiness, and financial accuracy.
We are hiring a Data Center Asset Management Engineer who will be responsible for the accurate execution of day-to-day data center asset lifecycle operations. This role focuses on task-level ownership, operational accuracy, and adherence to established processes across receiving, inventory management, asset tracking, break-fix for parts support, and decommissioning activities.
This role operates within defined workflows and systems, escalates issues appropriately, and develops foundational knowledge of data center operations, asset controls, and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
Execute assigned asset lifecycle tasks, including:
Ensure timely, accurate completion of work in accordance with SOPs and controls
Maintain data integrity across systems and documentation
Follow established procedures for asset handling, tracking, and state management
Support audit readiness by maintaining accurate records and documentation
Identify discrepancies or issues and escalate promptly with relevant context
Coordinate with site teams, logistics partners, and vendors to complete assigned tasks
Respond to requests from Operations, Engineering, and Asset Managers within defined SLAs
Participate in site-level activities such as inventory counts, audits, and hardware movements
Executes critical, repeatable asset operations that directly support data center reliability and financial accuracy
Contributes to inventory accuracy, audit outcomes, and operational efficiency
Impacts team success through consistent execution and attention to detail
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS Degree in Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Business or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
1+ years of experience in operations, logistics, asset management, inventory control, or a related technical/operations role
1+ years of experience with operational systems and documentation tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, or Excel spreadsheets)
Preferred Qualifications
Background in data center, warehouse, or supply chain operations
Experience with asset management systems, CMDBs, or inventory tools
Experience working with vendors or managed service partners
Experience with attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes
Ability to work in a fast-paced, operational environment

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $88,000 to $144,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
