We’re working with a professional organisation investing in the stability, resilience and security of its core IT estate.

They’re looking for a Cyber Security Manager to take practical ownership of cyber and network security operations across a multi-site environment.

This is not a policy-only role and not a pure architecture position. You will be accountable for the live security posture of the organisation, leading a small in-house team and working closely with key suppliers and SOC partners.

The role

Own the operational security environment across a multi-site estate
Oversee network security and infrastructure controls in partnership with network engineers
Lead and support a small team covering security and network operations
Take charge during incidents, coordinating technical and supplier response
Ensure patching, monitoring, logging and controls are working in practice
Apply frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST or CIS in real-world environments
Work with auditors and third parties to maintain and improve security maturity
Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning

This is an operational leadership role. You’ll be close to the technology, accountable for decisions, and responsible for steadily improving security maturity over time.

What they’re looking for

Strong experience in cyber security and network operations within a medium to large organisation
Comfortable owning incidents, risks and technical decisions
Experience leading or mentoring engineers or analysts
Practical application of security frameworks, not just policy knowledge
Experience working with third-party suppliers or managed services
Clear communicator who can operate confidently with both technical teams and senior stakeholders

Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CCNP Security or similar would be advantageous.
