Azure Senior Data Lead:

For one of our globally leading tech clients we are urgently looking for an experienced Azure Senior Data Lead for a long contract based in London, UK

Job Summary

The Azure Senior Data Lead will be responsible for leading the technical implementation of data engineering projects leveraging Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and Python. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance data pipelines and ETL processes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end technical implementation using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and Python.
Design and develop efficient ETL processes for large datasets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Optimize data workflows, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data quality and integrity.
Implement best practices for data security, governance, and compliance.
Provide technical mentoring and guidance to junior team members.
Stay updated with emerging trends in data engineering and analytics.

Essential Skills

Strong expertise in Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Azure Databricks
Advanced SQL query writing and performance tuning
Experience in Oracle PL/SQL development
Proficiency in Python for automation and scripting
Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL, and data modeling concepts
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Certifications (Preferred)

Relevant certifications in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, SQL, Oracle, or Python are advantageous.
