Senior Deployment Planner - MFD Rollout
Inside IR35 | 6 Month Contract
Location:London or Chesterfield (Hybrid - 1 day per week onsite)
The Opportunity
We are recruiting a Senior Deployment Planner to support a major national transformation programme within a large, nationally recognised organisation operating a 900-branch UK estate.
This role reports to the Banking Automation Deployment Lead and is the number two position within the deployment team.
The programme is delivering Multi-Function Devices (MFDs) and associated TCR automation technology across the branch network.
You will own the deployment plan and schedule on behalf of the Deployment Lead, providing complete oversight of where every branch sits within the lifecycle and ensuring timely, accurate delivery.
You will track all steps of the TCR and MFD implementation process for site projects, run status calls with team members, and request site surveys to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
Purpose of the Role
The Deployment Planning & Tracking Specialist will:
Own and maintain the deployment plan and master schedule
Track all steps of the TCR and MFD implementation process for site projects
Run regular status calls with team members
Instruct property leads to initiate site surveys
Provide accurate reporting to stakeholders
Ensure delivery momentum is maintained across the programme
This role acts as the single source of truth for deployment progress.
Programme Scope
National rollout across a 900-branch estate
Typically overseeing 60-70 live branches concurrently
TCR lifecycle: 12 weeks per branch
MFD lifecycle: 15 weeks per branch
Multiple internal teams and external suppliers
You will maintain an overarching "air traffic control" view of the entire deployment pipeline.
Core Accountabilities
Embrace and role model organisational behaviours, driving inclusion and continuous improvement
Own and maintain the deployment plan and schedule on behalf of the Deployment Lead
Track implementation progress and provide accurate reporting to stakeholders
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve blockers and maintain momentum
Ensure compliance with governance, policies and best practice
Analyse data to identify risks and recommend solutions
Job-Specific Responsibilities
Manage deployment plan and schedule updates
Track every step of the site implementation lifecycle
Run regular status calls with Deployment team members and stakeholders
Instruct property lead to initiate site surveys
Identify capacity constraints across suppliers and internal teams
Reschedule and rebalance workloads where overstretch occurs
Maintain accurate deployment trackers and MI reporting
Proactively identify process improvements and drive them through
Act as escalation point and troubleshoot delivery issues when required
Leadership should be able to approach you for an immediate, accurate update on any branch at any time.
Experience Required
Strong project planning and tracking experience within a complex organisation
Proven ability to manage schedules and coordinate multiple stakeholders
Experience running structured status calls
Experience reporting progress to senior stakeholders
Familiarity with scheduling and tracking tools
Experience working in fast-paced environments with multiple priorities
Qualifications
Relevant qualification in project planning, scheduling, or equivalent practical experience
