GenAI Scientist - AI / NLP Engineer – GenAI & Document Intelligence
Contract: 6+ months (high likelihood of extension)
Location: Hybrid in Atlanta, GA or fully remote
What You’ll Work On
Document Intelligence: Extracting, structuring, and analyzing large volumes of enterprise documents using NLP and AI techniques
Conversational AI: Building enterprise-grade chat solutions for knowledge discovery and decision support
Generative AI & LLMs: Designing, developing, optimizing, and monitoring LLM and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
Enterprise Integration: Integrating AI solutions with corporate systems and services (OAuth, LDAP, cloud platforms)
Scalable AI Platforms: Designing production-ready, microservices-based AI solutions that scale across teams and use cases
Key Responsibilities
Enhance and maintain an enterprise AI chat and document intelligence platform
Develop, optimize, and manage RAG pipelines and LLM integrations
Build backend APIs and AI services for scalable, multi-team consumption
Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate document and data needs into AI-driven solutions
Support production deployments, including monitoring, logging, and performance optimization
Core Technologies
Languages: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript
AI / ML: Large Language Models (Claude, GPT), LangChain, vector search, NLP libraries
Backend: FastAPI, Node.js, Express
Cloud & DevOps: AWS (ECS, EKS, S3, Lambda, Bedrock), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD
Databases: MongoDB, vector databases
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Linguistics, or a related field
2+ years of hands-on experience in NLP, AI, or LLM-based development
Strong experience building APIs and deploying production-grade AI systems
Working knowledge of RAG architectures, embeddings, and semantic search
Experience deploying AI solutions in cloud environments
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or PhD in a related technical field
Experience with MLOps, microservices architectures, and enterprise authentication systems
Knowledge of advanced NLP techniques and AI observability/monitoring tools
