Job Description:

A new position for a Certification & Qualification Engineer (CQE) for Super Puma is opened within Airbus Helicopters in Marignane. In this position, you will join the Initial Airworthiness Department of Airbus Helicopters, in the Super Puma team, in order to complete the certification activities in the field of vehicule (hoist, fast-rope, mission systems) and dynamic assemblies (flight controls, rotors). The strong comeback of the Super Puma on the market translates into the signature of new contracts. Our strength lies in the capacity to answer customers requests for equipment installed on their aircrafts and to ensure their certification.

The mission of the Certification and Qualification Engineer is mainly to lead the compliance demonstration to the applicable airworthiness requirements (FAR29/JAR29/CS29) for each new design. It is also to participate in the activities to demonstrate the safe flight capability of the helicopters when performing flight tests. Finally CQE is the main interface towards Airworthiness Authorities (civil and military) notably for major modifications.

Each project involves various contributors (Chief Engineering, System Design Responsibles, experts, customer support, prototype shop, flight tests pilots & engineers, ..). As Super Puma CQE, you will have the opportunity to work on a large variety of topics on this highly equipped aircraft. This diversity will allow a progressive grow-up both on scope and complexity of the modifications.

You will have to understand all the aspects of each modification project (technical content, configuration) you are managing in order to be able to establish the related certification program. This consists in the identification of all FAR29/JAR29/CS29 affected requirements, and proposal of the associated Means of Compliance. As CQE you have the full responsibility to establish a certification/qualification strategy, to harmonize it with all relevant Verification Engineers (CVE) and to approve modifications under AH privileges.

It is located near the cities of Aix-en-Provence and Marseille, which host a rich cultural and tourist offer.
