Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Mainframe Environment Support Engineer to support test environments enabling delivery of features to mobile and online banking customers.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in CICS Webservices, z/OS Connect, DB2, and batch processing, along with exposure to AWS services and cross-platform integrations.

This role requires a proactive problem solver who can manage environment stability, troubleshoot integration issues, and support automation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Provide expert support and timely resolution of environment issues across mainframe systems.
Support test data requirements for development and QA teams.
Work closely with integration teams to troubleshoot cross-platform dependencies.
Ensure environment stability, performance tuning, and security compliance.
Maintain detailed technical documentation, status reports, and issue logs.
Collaborate with developers, infrastructure teams, and project managers to resolve issues efficiently.
Contribute to automation initiatives using Python, Shell scripting, and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Technical Skills

Strong experience with CICS Webservices
Hands-on experience in z/OS Connect EE
Expertise in IBM Db2 and SQL
JCL and batch processing experience
Mainframe transaction management & debugging tools
Understanding of integration platforms like IBM DataPower Gateway
Basic knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Skills:

Experience in Banking / Financial Services domain
Exposure to DevOps & automation tools
Experience working in Agile environments
