Role: Exstream Designer

Type: 6 month contract

Location: Hybrid 2x every 2 weeks in Waterloo, ON

Rate: $60-$62/hr

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking an experienced Exstream Designer / Developer to join our client communications team, with a dedicated focus on Exstream‑based document solutions. This role supports the design, development, and delivery of complex client communications across PDF and other client-facing documentation. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, scalable document solutions while supporting both project initiatives. This position reports to the senior technology manager, enterprise platforms and works closely with Business Systems Analysts (BSAs), technical partners, and business stakeholders.

• Design, develop, and maintain complex Exstream documents for client communications, including PDFs and other documentation

• Support end‑to‑end document generation, from data mapping through final output preparation

• Work closely with Business Systems Analysts (BSAs) to translate business requirements into technical Exstream solutions

• Perform document mapping and configuration to support dynamic, data‑driven outputs

• Participate in project delivery work (~70%), contributing to new and upcoming initiatives

• In meetings and stand-ups + operational support (~30%) as required, including issue investigation and resolution

• Collaborate with team members to ensure document quality, consistency, and performance

• Engage directly with business partners to clarify requirements and support solution design

This role is purely focused on Exstream, with no competing platform responsibilities.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

5+ years of hands‑on Exstream experience as a Designer and/or Developer
Strong experience designing complex, data‑driven documents
Proficiency with JavaScript in an Exstream environment
Solid understanding of REST APIs and system integrations
