RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position Summary
The Nuclear Medicine Research Department is seeking a Clerical Assistant for a short-term, occasional hourly assignment over 5 days. The incumbent will provide essential administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
The incumbent, reporting to Dr. Farzad Abbaspour, will provide administrative support for clinical research by organizing study documents, managing data entry, handling communications, scheduling, and coordinating patient appointments. They will assist with recruitment, monitor research billing, and coordinate ethics and regulatory documentation, playing a vital role in ensuring smooth and efficient research and departmental operations.
General Duties
Drafting, typing, preparing, and transmitting various correspondences and reports, maintaining agendas and scheduling as needed,
Assisting with the preparation and maintenance of various reports, supporting the preparation and verification of budgets and managing assigned dossiers,
Receiving and distributing incoming calls, emails, and mail in a timely and professional manner,
Performing general administrative duties such as photocopying, printing, faxing, arranging courier services, and maintaining an organized filing system,
Conducting data entry with attention to detail and accuracy,
Processing payment of invoices and supporting financial documentation,
Organizing and maintaining an efficient filing and record-keeping system,
Advising the Program Manager of any unusual situations or issues requiring attention,
Carrying out other related administrative duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications
Proven experience in administrative or clerical support roles,
Knowledge of French is required,
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English,
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general office equipment,
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy,
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Education: High School Education
Required Skills
Excellent French and English, spoken and written,

Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision.
Additional information
Status : Temporary Occasional (5-day contract)
Pay Scale: $16.14 to $26.43 Commensurate with education & work experience.
Work Shift: Variable Schedule
Work Site: GLEN Site, 1001 boul. Decarie
