About the Opportunity:
A Senior Salesforce Developer is needed to support the Salesforce team, clinical staff, and frontline workers in managing care for members with multiple chronic conditions. This role involves continuous improvement and enhancement within Salesforce HealthCloud, Service Cloud, Field Lightning Service, and Marketing Cloud.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Salesforce Administrators and Developers to validate business requirements and review technical designs considering security, scalability, and limits
• Conduct peer reviews of designed builds
• Develop, review, and understand Apex (classes and triggers) and Visualforce to extend Salesforce for complex business needs
• Develop Custom User Interfaces including Visualforce pages, Lightning pages, Aura Components, and Lightning Web Components
• Use Salesforce APIs for integration with other organizational systems
• Adhere to Salesforce best practices, maintain code documentation, and write/maintain test classes for custom development
• Take ownership of project development release cycles, implementing and deploying new or updated applications and code
• Collaborate with IT and other developers to integrate Salesforce with other business systems
• Implement and optimize data validation, deduplication, and cleansing strategies in Health Cloud
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, SOC2, and Salesforce security best practices including field-level security, encryption, and audit logging
• Troubleshoot governor limits, optimize SOQL queries, and design scalable batch and asynchronous processing solutions
• Promote Salesforce enhancements and bring existing code to best practice standards
• Write, interpret, and audit technical specifications
• Assist with release planning and coordination aligning with business objectives
• Manage Salesforce environments and deployments across development, testing, and staging
• Implement and maintain version control systems (e.g., Git) for tracking changes and code merges
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AutoRABIT
• Identify and mitigate release risks to ensure system stability before and after deployment
• Develop and maintain documentation for release plans and deployment activities
• Enforce change control policies including peer code reviews, quality gates, and rollback plans
• Implement and maintain automated regression testing (e.g., Provar, Selenium, custom Apex test frameworks)
• Utilize DevOps tools such as Copado, Gearset, and Agile collaboration tools like ADO
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Computer Sciences, professional qualification, or equivalent experience
• Minimum five years of Salesforce development experience with HealthCloud, Service Cloud, and/or Marketing Cloud, including large data sets and bulkification
• Proficient in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Effective collaboration and communication skills with business stakeholders and Salesforce team members
• Certified Salesforce Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified DevOps Center Specialist
• Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server, Salesforce Lightning Design System, and Salesforce development lifecycle
• Ability to gather requirements and present technical solutions
• Additional Salesforce certifications such as Certified Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, Platform Developer II, JavaScript Developer I preferred
• Experience with HL7/FHIR integrations, EHR/EMR systems, or healthcare regulatory requirements is preferred
