Junior Electrical Design Engineer

Location: London (3 days office / 2 days home)
Salary: £30,000

A growing building services consultancy is looking for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to support their London-based design team.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone at the early stage of their career who is looking to develop within a supportive consultancy environment.

The Role

You will assist in producing electrical designs and supporting senior engineers across residential and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with electrical building services design work

Support production of drawings using CAD software

Carry out basic lighting calculations using Dialux or Relux

Assist with preparation of technical documentation

Support compliance with British Standards and UK regulations

Attend internal design meetings and assist senior engineers

Requirements

Basic knowledge of CAD (AutoCAD preferred)

Familiarity with Dialux or Relux

Understanding of the 18th Edition (BS 7671)

Basic understanding of Fire Alarm Design Systems

Relevant qualification in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or working towards)

Strong willingness to learn and develop

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated junior engineer to gain hands-on experience and grow within a structured design environment.
