About the role
We are seeking a motivated, creative, self-starting and dynamic new member of the Exchange support team, safeguarding the operation and administration of the Exchange and Clearing Organization while also looking to innovate and automate processes and procedures. Responsibilities
End-to-End Market Lifecycle: Design, create, and schedule predictive contracts. You’ll manage the transition from "event identification" to "live trading" and finally to "accurate settlement."
Real-Time Operations: Remote management of production environments. This includes responding to breaking news, adjusting contract specs based on real-world developments, and performing risk management checks
Expert Research & Verification: Validate outcomes using authoritative data (official league stats, government news, etc.). You will design clear settlement rules to account for edge cases like postponements or amended results
Technical Automation: Use Python and Linux environments to build internal tools, manage cron jobs, and integrate news/sports APIs to streamline exchange workflows
Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve settlement challenges under time pressure, ensuring all actions meet CFTC regulatory standards and maintain a clear audit trail
Required Qualifications
Market Fluency: A deep understanding of prediction market mechanics (binary options, categorical markets) and a passion for sports, politics, and macroeconomics
Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python for data processing, experience with APIs/WebSockets, and comfort navigating Linux command lines
Operational Grit: High attention to detail in mission-critical environments. You must be comfortable making high-stakes decisions during live events
Schedule Flexibility: This role supports live events globally. You must be willing to work rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays (with weekday off-days provided)
Preferred Background
1–3 years of experience in sports betting, prediction markets, or derivatives exchange operations
Experience with sports data providers (e.g., Sportradar, Genius Sports) or political forecasting data
Knowledge of CFTC regulations or market surveillance
A "product ownership" mentality—the ability to identify a manual process and build a tool to automate it
